A commendable attempt to fill a void in Cuba's food market – ie vegetarianism – La Berenjena inhabits a smart two-story house with an awning-covered terrace out front. This is a genuine ecorestaurant plying fruit shakes, vegetable lasagna, crepes, soups and a few meat dishes for those who can't be swayed.
Furthermore it uses recycled rainwater, makes its own honey and uses ingredients from its own vegetable garden.
