Inhabiting an enchanting perch on Matanzas’ main square, the Louvre is a new rendition of an old hotel that remained closed for over a decade before reopening in 2019. The decor and rooms closely mirror the Hotel Velazco across the square. The hotel was founded in 1879 and has been at its current location since the early 20th century.
Four precious marble statues that once adorned the lobby are now encased in the Teatro Sauto.
