For a bit of sober Croatian authenticity in clubbing Novalja, head to this characterful tavern (the name translates as The Old Man and the Sea) set just back from the seafront and bedecked in fishing paraphernalia (and the odd giant fish). The seafood here is the best in town. Waiters will recommend wine to go with your meal.
