La Casona

Monteverde & Around

At the entrance to the reserve, this mountain lodge is usually used by researchers and student groups, but it's open to tourists when there’s room. The 12 plain private rooms feel rather institutional, but they’re clean and comfortable – and you can’t get any closer to the park. Your hard-earned cash directly contributes to protecting the cloud forest.
