Named after an ethnic group in China's northwest, this excellent restaurant is a tad pricey compared to other Xinjiang options in Shanghai, but makes up for it in atmosphere and perfectly executed dishes. Tuck into marinated charcoal barbecued eggplant or skewers of lamb dusted in spices, plus traditional bread, fried potatoes, and tangy onion and tomato salads.
