Especially appealing in summer, this cheerful spot has excellent breakfasts (served till 2:30pm), a pleasant back terrace and a laid-back front porch where you can watch the comings and goings on Ave Cartier. The dining room is decorated with reproductions from Cornelius Krieghoff (1815–72), one of Québec’s master painters of the 19th century, who lived on nearby Grande Allée.
