This pleasant hotel is shaded by fig and cherry trees, and peeps down over Melnik's main road. White-walled rooms with simple furnishings don't quite match the old-world reception and the mehana (tavern) with a bird's-eye view. But it's great value and the location – up a cobbled lane, just on the right as you enter the village – is very convenient.
