Famous for its regional dishes, the restaurant at Pousada do Garimpo challenges the heftiest of appetites with its house specialty bambá do garimpo, a high-calorie concoction dating back to the diamond-mining days that includes pork chops, beans, rice, finely chopped kale and angu (corn porridge). There's also an occasional all-you-can-eat weekend buffet.
