Enter through a 17th-century coaching inn that houses the indulgent restaurant, above which are two particularly impressive suites. A stone tunnel, complete with 8000-bottle wine collection, links to a subterranean swimming pool and sauna, as well as the steps up to a handful of large modern rooms complete with hot tubs. In the eaves, cheaper, smaller ‘Maison du Cocher’ rooms have Ardennaise decor.
The lovely garden and excellent service add to the appeal.
