At the tender age of 20, I went to Tokyo for a month. Somehow, I have now spent more than a decade in Japan, ticking off visits to all 47 prefectures, cycling through the stunning countryside and eating my way through its diverse and fascinating cuisine like a very hungry caterpillar.
I'm a freelance multimedia journalist with experience ranging from live news reporting to food, travel and feature writing. I enjoy trail running and sake (although not at the same time), and I love telling a good story.
