'The White Chimney Sweep' is reputedly named for a chimney sweep who, thanks to his romance with the neighbouring baker, was more often covered in flour rather than soot when he drank at the erstwhile tavern here. Buttermilk-cured trout and venison with semolina dumplings are among the menu highlights. Some of its cosy, wood-panelled rooms have views of Stephansdom.
In July and August, a pianist plays classical music from 6pm to midnight Thursday to Saturday.
