Set behind an unpromising mid-20th-century facade, Hotel Capricorno has been stunningly made over in lustrous velveteens in zesty lime, orange, lemon and aubergine shades. Most of its 42 rooms have balconies (front rooms overlook the Danube Canal; rear rooms are quieter). It's 600m northeast from Stephansdom (around a 10-minute stroll).
